Inspired Stitches (went to fast)

Inspired Stitches weekend........I have been looking so forward to this weekend for so long and was not disappointed.

Had a great time and got loads of stitching done.( I think not ) more jaw bone activity than stitching ,What a fabulous weekend......congratulations to Sarah and her helpers for their hard work in putting the weekend together.....the venue was a winner and a bonus to be able to stay on campus .
Saturday morning was a little overwhelming for me…. As I have never attended a workshop/ gathering with so many quilters.
Saturday started with Rosalie introducing the other tutors ....Leanne, Melly and Janelle who took turns in showing us the projects they would be teaching during the course of the weekend. Dinner on Saturday night was well attended, I didn't stay late...... The units on campus where very comfortable - I shared accommodation with some very lovely ladies Marg and Liz from WA (no blogs) and Kris from Adelaide
Some of the bloggers who attend the weekend......Leanne, Amanda, Lorraine, Dawn, Kris, Val , Kelly and Claire ......

Pop over to the girls blogs for more on this great weekend
I am so sorry but my camera has had a moment ............I am unable to download any photos from the weekend . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Until Next time ...........Cheers Marc

Easter been and gone

The last four days have gone so fast, left home Friday morning all packed up with boat in tow headed off to a camp site along the river in the Riverland with six other families and 5 dogs
the weather was fabulous.
The days where filled with eating, reading, fishing and relaxing
the evenings where spent around a camp fire, chatting, drinking Hot chocolate and melting marshmallows.
But like all good things............ must come to a end .

A bag for me

Just finished a bag for myself and I remembered to take a photo off the back/reverse side of the bag (lol) Monday and Tuesday night stitched a pattern from Cinderberry and drawn a circle from a dinner plate this evening to form the base of the bag and just finish putting it all together had a few scraps left over so made a matching little book which has a place for pins, needles ,thimble, scissors and unpick er in it ...........it was fun to make

The cable man

Not getting much done at work the last few days
having new IT cable put through the office, so between avoiding been consumed by cable and the noise of drills and hammers etc.... not much paperwork is being done and the dust is not very nice, there are cover cloths are over everything at the moment ......computers, phone system ,fax and photocopiers, trying to answer the incoming phones is a real joy...............but look on the bright side .........always have next week to catch up with the paperwork (chuckle)
