The last 3 Days

The last few days have gone so fast........

Saturday morning went to Renmark and called into Kates shop and picked up a bargain...........fabric ..........Cider Mill Road by Nancy Halvorsen

Unfortunately the photo below do not do the fabric colours justice.

Then Saturday afternoon spent the time being domestic ............you know washing, dusting, ironing blah blah ..............visited DH parents and had afternoon tea with them, lovely day just chatting.
Sunday DH put some gutter guard along the shed as the next door neighbours large tree adjoins our shed and leaves, are blocking the entrance into the rainwater tank. The weather was superb so we worked together outside trimming the lawn edges and raking up the leaves etc....
until late into the evening.
As it was a long weekend in South Australia ( Adelaide Cup ......... Horse race) DH and myself together with 2 other families spent a very enjoyable day on the Murray River .........cruised up the river in the tinnies and stop on the river bank where we enjoyed a BBQ.
Once again a fabulous day.

Spent the evening working on my Spring Swap sorry no show and tell on this project at the moment.
So where did the last 3 days go ............ever so fast.............

Thought I would have a go

I visited Chookyblue latest posting tonight and I saw this, I do not
normally like to do this but well nothing ventured nothing gained (lol)

A bit tired today

A bit tired today ..........back to work ................had a great few days in Melbourne .......but unfortunately no work in my department has been processed so ...........I had a very tiring and busy busy day today..............
the following is some of my purchases from the AQC in Melbourne
sorry to exhausted to add notes (lol)

Monday, March 2, 2009

I have had a lovely 4 days in Melbourne.
Along with 43 other delightful and excited women we headed off at 6.30am Thursday morning. After a a enjoyable meal in the Deer Park Restaurant on the out skirts of Melbourne at approx 7.00 that night we checked into the Hotel Enterprise on Spencer Street, a brisk walk to the Casino for Coffee and Cake before settling for the night.
Up early Friday morning nice cooked breakfast in the Hotel restaurant before heading off to the AQC. Wo........w I don't think I have ever seen so many women in the one place before....it was sooooooooooo frantic , busy and exciting.
I made a few purchases, but on the whole I used great restraint.
Stayed until we got kicked out at 4.30pm .
Then of to the DFO outlet ..............Those who know me will find this hard to believe ...
but once again I used great restraint.
At about 9.00pm the feet and stomach where crying for help so 6 off us in the group headed off to have an evening meal in a Chinese restaurant.
Followed by a walk down to a cafe by the casino for coffee and cake.
After a few hours of sleep , Saturday started again early first stop
GJ'S Fabrics on 443 Lygon Street, East Brunswick,
then to the Vic Markets , then a free Bus trip around Melbourne, to look at a few of the sites before heading back to the Hotel for a quick shower .

It was fabulous .......amazing.... funny and emotional..... If you haven't seen it I suggest you do ... it is brilliant. Then once again the poor feet and stomach where screaming at me again as the last meal was 11.30 am at the Vic Markets ............So once again off to the Casino where we found a cafe and had pizza and a nice cup of Hot Chocolate. Unfortunately only had a couple of hours sleep before heading home Sunday ............The bus trip was a lot quieter on the way home then on the way down.

I had a very exciting and busy weekend!!!!
Will share some show and tell next posting
Until next time .......Marc
