Had a day off from work today ..........A nice day for a trip over to Tricia's in Loxton where I spend my birthday voucher, My dear Auntie and Cousins in Adelaide so nicely gave me a gift voucher for my birthday which was back in September . It was not hard to spend it at Almond Grove Cottage.

Brought a Jelly Roll and co-ordinating fabric .....hopefully if all goes well might start on this during the weekend?

Couple of nights during the past week I have been stitching this pattern from Helen Stubbings

Helen's pattern incorporated colourque, I will not be using this method I am just back stitching.

Hoping to incorporate this stitchery with some fabric I purchased from Hetties awhile ago,

maybe I will start on this one instead on the weekend.

Back to Jelly Rolls pop over and check out Provincial Patch now have jelly rolls in-stock Wouldn't mind getting my hands on them. Bistro by Deb Strain Moda range. The colours look fabulous.

Another surprise in the mail today from Holland.....and look what is inside...All these gorgeous goodies are from my Stitchers Angel Friend...Stella ...I just love it all.

Stella has made for me this beautiful bag, pin cushion ,scissor holders , arm chair caddy, needle case, thread catcher, all the projects are made in such beautiful fabric,

Also a touch of Holland enclosed a beautiful Thimble in blue and white, and a gorgeous clog. A big thank you to Stella for all these gorgeous gifts you have made my day....... I have really enjoyed the swap it has been fun .Thanks must also go out to Helen for organizing such a fantastic swap....

Tickled Pink

I am tickled pink.........and a winner ................Today in the post I received a parcel from Julie at Provincial Patch.

Julie recently had a giveaway on her blog and yes I am a winner....I have received these fantastic items, Buttons, pegs, ric rac, ribbon, sequins, fabric pack and a lovely hand made yo-yo made into a hair tie and it is all PINK.

Gatherings in The Hills

Up early Sunday morning to head towards the hills.... Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills where a group of ladies spend the day at Jane's Gathering in the Hills with Helen Stubbings........ Theme of the day was cupcakes which flowed most brilliantly through out the day........ Morning and afternoon tea was served amongst extraordinary vintage teapots, cups, saucers and plates........... It was an exceptional day.........and I got to meet a couple of blogging buddies in Lorraine and Kris..... Recognition must go to Jane -and the girls who worked hard to make the day amazing.

Mollie is back

Finally My Mollie is back (Mollie is my camera).

Has been a little hot here in the sunny Riverland (South Australia) approx 36 degrees today, so what better time than to spend the day inside (lol).

Started Browsing through some magazines for a few ideas for the Christmas ornament swap.

Then had a bit of a withdrawal........ need to use my sewing machine......

Well spent a few hours today making this

Close up of the bunnies ................simple bit of stitchery in two colours ..........photo doesn't show up the colours of the threads on the stitchery to good .....the bunnies are a nice pink and the hearts are a pale green

and a reverse (backside view (lol) ) of the bag

the side has a nice pastel pink button on each side of the bottom corner

The weekend has just buzzed by so fast but I spend both days being quite productive.............

Finished my Chookyblue Secret Santa Swap Partners Gifts.

Finished a small quilt that has been waiting in the pile for the binding to go on .....which is now sewn down and ironed

Made a couple of small carry bags for thank you gifts ..........

Finished my first stitchery in the Nice People Nice thing quilt and started another.

Made a couple of Christmas Ornaments..............

Unfortunately I am unable to share any photos as the computer XD Smart Media doesn't read my XD Picture Card ..........any suggestions......... has this happen to any one else..........

May have to call in the Doctor???????

Miss Audrey is ready to be Embellished

Public Holiday in South Australia this weekend .... had a very busy relaxing and fulfilling few days.....as last blog

Saturday spent on the river very relaxing

Sunday Mother in law has her brother and sister in law over from Western Australia for a Navy reunion in the Barossa Valley area in South Australia later in October

So MIL arranged a family get together......fab day, weather was very kind and it was the first time in approx 10 years, the MIL had all her brothers and sister together. (4)

Today (Monday) had plans to go fishing on the river again, but unfortunately the weather turned quite windy and cold ......so DH potted around in the shed and I got stuck into finishing a quilt top I started several months ago

I had completed 10 small blocks

but with no interruptions ............ I have now got Miss Audrey ready to go over to Loxton

to my Quilt Guru to machine quilt .

Few squares ready to be made into Dash Turns

Finally the finished pile of dash churns

All put together (approx finished size between a queen size and king size)

To big to fit the whole quilt in the photo

Wow ...... My back is starting to ache ?????

Nice day on the River

Spent the day on the river with friends

Up early this morning beautiful weather ..........got a few domestic things done (blah blah) then DH hooked the tinnie up and we headed off up river for most of the day.

Had to wait for the local ferry to cross before we could adventure on up river to a gathering on private property which had river frontage ......where a group of us spent the day ... ..chatting.drinking...fishing and eating .....great day out
